marketing director – and every job in-between. Currently, Angela supports the Missouri State University Foundation leading their strategic communications while moonlighting with her company, Social Status Marketing (15 years and counting).

A non-traditional student, Angela joined the United States Army Reserves after high school where she served eight years prior to earning her degree in communications. Fresh out of college, she found her first job at a digital marketing firm, Heligonix, where she coordinated marketing and communications for clients. She continued her education earning a certificate in social media from Drury University, assisting a variety of organizations in their digital integration strategy.

She finds great strength in the AWC family and used her fellow members as role models at the beginning of her career. Past president of the Springfield, MO, chapter and 2018 Clarion Award winner, she now strives to give back to the professional community that brought her so much joy over the years. Angela is a mother of three adult children and grandmother of two little girls. She lives in Springfield where she volunteers her time serving on the board for Girls on the Run of southwest Missouri and NAMI.

Heather Hope-Hernandez is a communications and public policy consultant from the Tulsa Chapter. A member since 2004, she is a former Tulsa Chapter president and currently serves on the board as membership chair.
